My TR5 badges came back from England while I was away at Triumphest, and my friend Randy installed them on the car. What a delight to see the car sitting in the showroom, now finally complete, when I walked in the front door of The Roadster Factory. |

Guess what I found sitting in the TRF showroom when I opened the front door... You guessed it probably, my newly restored Triumph TR5 sports car, still without most of its badges which are coming from England and still fitted with my TR3A wheels and tires. Nevertheless, it is beautiful! I drove it about ten miles this evening being very careful about the white tailed deer which inhabit our fields. Many years ago, I actually hit a small deer with the TR5 just a few hundred yards down the road from TRF. You’d never find the damage now, though. John Swauger took a few snapshots of the car when it came in today from our friend’s shop. These will function as this week’s “Photos of the Week.” I’m looking forward to putting a few more miles on the TR5 this weekend. |
